Kuwaitis and expats spent over KD 10 bn on online shopping

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: Kuwaiti citizens and expats during 2021 spent 10.16 billion dinars on online purchase compared to 6.05 billion in 2020 — 4.1 billion dinars or 67.7% more on the last year figures, reports Al- Anba daily. The volume of online spending of citizens and residents inside Kuwait increased by more than 69%, (3.86 billion dinars in 2021 to reach 9.43 billion dinars), compared to 5.57 billion dinars in 2020. The spending by citizens and residents on online purchases outside Kuwait increased by 51%, worth 243 million dinars to reach 724.6 million dinars in 2021, compared to 481.3 million dinars in 2020.
