Kuwaiti woman fined KD 50 for hitting a Filipina with her car and causing injuries

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The Misdemeanor Court of Appeals overturned the verdict issued by the Court of First Instance which imposed a fine of KD 50 on a Kuwaiti woman for hitting a Filipina woman with her car and causing injuries.

Public Prosecution charged the accused with careless driving which led to hitting the victim who was crossing the road and causing injuries mentioned in the submitted medical report.

Lawyer Fahad Al-Hadiya, who was representing the Kuwaiti woman, highlighted the lack of evidences to prove the plaintiff’s claims. The court said the technical report contradicts the testimony of the victim.
