Kuwaiti woman donates plasma to treat those infected by coronavirus

KUWAIT CITY, April 15: A Kuwaiti woman, identified as Sadikha Al-Ansari who has recovered from the coronavirus disease, in response to a call by Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Bassel Al-Sabah, donated plasma to treat those infected by the virus and medically proven positive, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Ansari told the daily contributing to treating others by donating plasma gives hope to those who are infected by the virus and calls it a ‘national duty’.

Al-Ansari added, when she went to donate the plasma after ensuring she is medically fit and after undergoing tests, she noticed the availability of a number of beds that have been prepared for plasma donors. She said she is willing to donate plasma again if doctors advise. She added, her son did not donate because of his young age.
