The Kuwaiti Artists Association is hosting a seminar titled “Kuwaiti Theatre Over 100 Years” tonight.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1, (Agencies): In the context of their new cultural and artistic season, the Kuwaiti Artists Association is hosting a seminar titled “Kuwaiti Theatre Over 100 Years” this evening. The event serves as a tribute to the pioneering journey of Kuwaiti theater, taking place at the esteemed “Shadi Al Khalij” hall in the association’s building in the Marqab area.

The seminar will be moderated by the distinguished international figure, Amal Abdulhalla, and features the esteemed artist Ibrahim Al Saleh. Also participating is the Assistant Secretary-General for the Arts at the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, Assistant Adab Al Zamil, the esteemed artist Mariam Al Saleh, the esteemed playwright Dr. Mohammad Bala, and the director of the Arab Theater Group, Ahmed Al Shatti. Additionally, the Secretary of the Artists Association, Abdulhalla Abdul Rasoul, will be present.

During the seminar, the focus will be on the key milestones in the history of Kuwaiti theater over the past century. This will involve a review of the movement and evolution of Kuwaiti theater across successive generations. The contributions and efforts of the founders and pioneers who laid the initial foundations for Kuwaiti theater, which has become one of the essential components of Kuwait’s cultural scene at both the regional and international levels, will be highlighted.
