HAMMAMET, Tunisia, Nov 4: Four matches will take place in Round 4 of the preliminary stage of the 7th Arab Women’s Handball Clubs Championship, currently being held in Hammamet, Tunisia, and set to conclude on November 9.
The Kuwaiti team will go up against Syria, with Al-Qurain facing Qasioun at 1:00 PM in Group A. The group also features a Tunisian derby between Al-Afriqi and Al-Sahel at 5:00 PM. In Group B, Salwa Al-Sabah meets Al-Nabk at 3:00 PM, followed by Hammamet taking on Al-Moknine at 7:00 PM.
Today’s matches give Kuwaiti teams a chance to secure their first victories. Al-Qurain previously lost to Hammamet 26-32 and Al-Moknine 18-28, while Salwa Al-Sabah fell to Al-Sahel 14-34 and Al-Afriqi 10-42. Syrian teams have also struggled in earlier rounds, making today crucial for first wins and points, including potential draws.
According to the tournament format, the quarter-finals will see the winner of Group A face the fourth of Group B, the winner of Group B meet the fourth of Group A, the second of Group A play the third of Group B, and the second of Group B take on the third of Group A tomorrow. Victors will advance to the semi-finals on Friday, with the final scheduled for Sunday.
