Kuwaiti Swimmer Mansour Al-Mansour Wins Gold Medal

KUWAIT CITY, June 26: In the ongoing 18th World Championships for juniors and masters in finswimming held in Cairo, Kuwaiti swimmer Mansour Al-Mansour emerged as the gold medalist in the 50-meter underwater building race on Monday. With participants from 36 countries, this victory marks Kuwait’s first international gold medal in this particular sport category for the age group of 34 to 39 years.

Hani bin Hussain, the head of the Kuwaiti delegation and the technical committee in the Kuwaiti Diving Federation, expressed his delight over the achievement. He stated that Al-Mansour clinched the title of world champion in the 50-meter underwater race, completing it in an impressive time of 16.35 seconds.

Bin Hussein dedicated this remarkable victory to His Highness Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad, as well as to the President of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahd Nasser Al-Sabah and the Public Authority for Sports. He commended the support they provided in enabling the team’s participation in the tournament and in attaining such honorable results.

It is worth noting that on Sunday, swimmer Abdulaziz Al-Rish secured the silver medal in the 100-meter double fins race within the age group of 30 to 34 years.
