Kuwaiti speeding at 180 kph arrested

KUWAIT CITY, June 24: Officers from the Jahra Traffic Department arrested a Kuwaiti citizen and impounded his vehicle for driving at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour on Jahra Road recently. A security source stated that traffic officers uncovered the violation during their routine field campaigns aimed at monitoring roads and apprehending motorists exceeding the speed limit. The source added that the citizen was immediately stopped, legal procedures were taken against him, and then he was referred to the traffic police station. The source confirmed that the traffic enforcement campaigns are ongoing in all governorates to monitor speeding violations and other traffic offenses, to ensure road safety, protecting motorists and pedestrians, and reduce accidents caused by reckless driving.
