KUWAIT CITY, July 14: A Kuwaiti reportedly shot his friend inside an apartment in Salwa, wounding him in the shoulder who had to be rushed to the Mubarak Hospital for treatment. According to security sources when the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report about a quarrel accompanied by shooting between friends inside an apartment in Salwa, security-men and personnel from the Emergency Medical Services affiliated to the Ministry of rushed to the site of the incident and found the victim with a bullet wound in the shoulder.

During initial interrogation the 26-year-old victim, who is also Kuwaiti, said he was shot by his friend because of personal differences between them. The sources added personnel from the Hawalli Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested the culprit and found in his possession two shotguns and a number of bullets. He admitted to shooting his friend because of a personal dispute between them. He has been referred to the Public Prosecution Office. It is noteworthy to mention here that over the past few days, the country witnessed two murders, quarrels and shooting incidents in the suburbs of Al-Ardhiya, Abu Futaira, Jahra and Khaitan.
