Kuwaiti selected for European goalkeeper development programme

Al Khader mentors Europe’s young goalkeepers.

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, July 20: Kuwaiti goalkeeping coach Ali Al Khader is participating in a specialised European development programme for goalkeepers, held in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, featuring 60 of the continent's top emerging talents in the position.

Al Khader's invitation to join the programme alongside a select group of international coaches and experts highlights Kuwaiti coaching's growing reputation on the global stage. It follows his previous experiences working with the Brazil national team and clubs competing in continental tournaments.

"I'm delighted to be part of this European programme, which brings together some of the most promising goalkeeper talents in Europe," Al Khader said.

"These experiences provide coaches with the opportunity to discover the latest methods in goalkeeper development and exchange knowledge with different coaching schools. I hope to benefit from every aspect of the programme and transfer this expertise to the players I will work with in the future."

The European initiative aims to develop young goalkeepers through specialised training under the supervision of international experts, with a focus on technical, tactical and mental skills, as well as the latest modern coaching approaches.
