RABAT, June 24: Kuwaiti runner Madawi Al-Shammari won today, Saturday, the silver medal in the 200-meter flat event at the Arab Athletics Championships held in Marrakech, Morocco. Al-Shammari covered the distance in a time of 23 seconds and 95 percent, to enhance the harvest of the Kuwaiti team participating in the tournament with a new medal, to be added to the gold of Yaqoub Al-Yuhia and the silver of Abdul Rahman Al-Azmi. The Kuwaiti national team participated in the Arab Championship competitions, which will conclude today with a group of male and female runners, along with participants from 16 Arab countries.
