KUWAIT CITY, Nov 12 (KUNA): Kuwait Winter Games Club President Fhaid Al-Ajmi announced on Wednesday that Kuwaiti referee Shoug Al-Hindal has been selected to officiate at the U18 Women’s World Championship 2026 Division III in Thailand next January.

Al-Ajmi noted that the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) chose Al-Hindal for the second consecutive time, following her successful performance in the previous edition of the championship. He emphasized that her selection reflects the excellence of national talent and highlights Kuwait’s growing influence in international ice hockey.

“Referee Al-Hindal is fully capable of delivering an outstanding performance, and we are confident she will bring further honor to Kuwaiti ice hockey at this major event,” Al-Ajmi said.

Al-Hindal expressed her pride in being the first Kuwaiti referee to participate in such a high-level tournament for two consecutive editions. She added that her previous success motivates her to strive for even greater achievement in the upcoming championship, and she is ready to represent Kuwaiti ice hockey with dedication and professionalism.
