MANAMA, Nov 29 (KUNA): Kuwait Motor Sports Club racers claimed five top positions in the opening round of the 2025–2026 Bahrain National Drag Racing Championship.

Team manager Sheikh Sabah Dawood Al-Sabah told KUNA on Saturday that the Kuwaiti contingent delivered outstanding performances across multiple categories during Friday evening’s races at Bahrain International Circuit.

He reported that Abdulrahman Bourbaa won first place in the Index 4.5 category, Abdulrahman Bualwa topped the Index 4.8 category, Jassem Zaman secured first place in the Outlaw 6 category, and Nasser Bourbaa finished first in the 8.5 Bike category. Shahab Bourbaa also earned a podium finish, placing third in the 8.5 Bike division.

Sheikh Sabah praised the team’s strong performance and noted that several other Kuwaiti competitors reached the semifinals, reflecting the squad’s solid preparation, technical discipline, and competitive spirit.

The first round featured participants from Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The championship’s second round will be held from December 23–26, followed by the third round from January 6–9, 2026. The fourth round will take place January 13–16, while the final round is scheduled for March 3–6.
