Kuwaiti officials referred to prosecution over false financial disclosures
Nazaha refers government and Co-op officials to public prosecution for financial misreporting.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: Kuwait’s Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred several board members from government agencies and cooperative societies to the Public Prosecution for submitting inaccurate financial disclosure statements.

In an official statement issued Tuesday, Nazaha emphasized that the referrals come as part of its ongoing efforts to uphold transparency and accountability within public institutions.

The authority urged all individuals subject to financial disclosure requirements to exercise the highest levels of accuracy and transparency when completing and submitting their statements on time.

Nazaha underlined that submitting precise disclosures is both a legal obligation and an ethical responsibility, stressing that such compliance plays a vital role in protecting public funds, reinforcing values of integrity, and strengthening public trust in state institutions.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing anti-corruption measures and holding accountable anyone who fails to comply with the laws that safeguard the integrity of public service.
