KUWAIT, Nov 8 (KUNA): The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has officially approved the logo for the 2026 Ice Hockey World Cup (Division IV), which will be hosted by Kuwait in April, Kuwait Winter Games Club President Fehaid Al-Ajmi announced on Saturday.
Speaking to KUNA, Al-Ajmi explained that the logo features a Kuwaiti player in the national uniform holding the country’s flag, and prominently displays the names of Kuwait and the championship. This marks the second time Kuwait will host the event.
Al-Ajmi highlighted that six teams will participate in the tournament, including Singapore, Armenia, Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, along the host, Kuwait. The club has developed an ambitious plan to prepare the national team to perform at its best and showcase outstanding levels during the championship.
He also praised the support of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi for backing Kuwait’s hosting of this major international event, as well as the efforts of the Public Authority for Sport in supporting winter sports in the country.
