KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26, (KUNA): Kuwaiti embassies in New Delhi and Kuala Lumpur held celebrations to commemorate the 58th National Day, 28th Liberation Anniversary, and the 13-year rule of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In the New Delhi reception, Ambassador to India Jassem Al-Najem delivered a speech extending greetings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah, and government and people of Kuwait on the joyous days.

India-Kuwait relations is poised to undergo further enhancement in several areas as both the sides are committed to improve the ties, the ambassador affirmed in his speech. He took the chance to thank attendees – including Indian Minister of Commerce and Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu as well as Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh – for partaking in the reception celebrating Kuwait’s joyous occasions.

On his part, Minister Prabhu pointed out, in a statement to KUNA, Kuwait’s role in eradicating poverty globally through funding several programs. He also said that relations with Kuwait were built upon a strong foundation, indicating the Indian expatriates in Kuwait were contributing in cementing and renewing the historic ties further.
