KUWAIT CITY, Apr 17: The Kuwaiti karate team has claimed the top prize in the group kata category at the World Karate League competition held in Canada. The winning team comprised of Salman Al-Musawi, Muhammad Al-Musawi, and Muhammad Hussain, who delivered an outstanding performance to secure first place.

In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Mishaal Al-Rashidi, Secretary of the Kuwait Football Association, lauded the remarkable achievement of the Kuwaiti champions in this highly competitive tournament, which features top players from around the world. The World League is a crucial event that prepares athletes for upcoming sporting events, including the Asian Games scheduled in Hangzhou, China, and qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Al-Rashidi emphasized the federation's commitment to the tournament and the importance of the victory in inspiring the Kuwaiti champions and their colleagues to achieve even greater feats in future tournaments. He congratulated the Kuwaiti Karate family on their extraordinary triumph.
