Kuwait inventor Sarah Bourjib receives the prestigious WIPO international award for medical innovation.

KUWAIT CITY, July 13: The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, a part of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, proudly announced Kuwaiti inventor Sarah Bourjib as a recipient of one of the prestigious WIPO international awards. The awards were presented by the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Bourjib's groundbreaking invention, which earned her the award, focuses on early detection of tumors and brain hemorrhage using resonant light technology integrated with artificial intelligence. This innovation promises significant advancements in medical diagnostics.

The center highlighted that Bourjib was among over 600 participants from more than 100 countries competing for the WIPO award. Her participation was supported by the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, underscoring Kuwait's commitment to fostering innovation and scientific excellence.

Alongside Bourjib, this year's WIPO World Awards recognized participants from diverse countries including the Republic of Korea, Kenya, China, Argentina, Thailand, Turkey, Switzerland, and Singapore.
