KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: Officers from the Hawally Support Patrol arrested a Kuwaiti man in his thirties after he was seen driving recklessly and against the flow of traffic.
A security source reported that the patrol—led by a lieutenant colonel and accompanied by a non-commissioned officer—stopped the man after spotting him driving without headlights in the Salmiya area. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed clear signs that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, including a strong smell of liquor.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a bottle of “Black Label” containing an alcoholic beverage, along with Lyrica pills, which are classified as a controlled substance. Authorities determined that the suspect had consumed six Lyrica tablets prior to his arrest.
The man was taken into custody, and legal measures are being pursued against him.
