Kuwaiti held for helping sister flee police

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 18: The Ahmadi police have arrested a 30-year-old Kuwaiti for helping his sister escape from police, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the sister was wanted by law in connection with a financial case. According to a security source the Ahmadi patrol men during a security check suspected the woman while she was in Fahaheel and after checking her data they discovered she was wanted by law in a financial issue. She then reportedly picked up an argument with the police and called her brother who rushed to the spot, resisted the securitymen and helped his sister escape. The man has been detained at the Fahaheel Police Station.

Meanwhile, the Jahra police have taken into custody the main suspect who was wanted by law in connection with running over Captain Mubarak Al-Hajraf and policeman Mohammed Al-Mahmeed, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the incident happened when the suspects were making stunts with their sports cars in the aftermath of a wedding ceremony in the area. The victims attempted to prevent the men from doing stunts and reckless driving and they instead of obeying committed the offence. The car of the bedoun has been confiscated
