Kuwaiti grabs 3rd place in Taiwan

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 24, (KUNA): Kuwait’s water ski team has clinched advanced places in the Taiwan’s Open Cup for Water Ski.

Kuwaiti skier Khaled Al-Awadhi grabbed the third place in the cable wakeboard competitions of the Asian international event, concluded on Sunday, Kuwait Sea Sport Club (KSSC) said in a statement Monday.

Also, Kuwaiti skier Sheikha Al-Nouri ranked fourth, while her fellow countrymen Abdullah Al-Amiri, in his first ever international participation, came fifth, and Ahmad Al-Aamer was the sixth, tit added.

The event saw a large participation by Asian countries, Bader Al-Juhaim, head of the Kuwaiti team, said, expressing satisfaction with his players’ performance and achievements in the tournament.
