Kuwaiti Forces Intercept 178 Missiles, 384 Drones Amid Ongoing Attacks

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 3: The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army announced that the armed forces are currently responding to a wave of missiles and drones detected within the airspace of the State of Kuwait, carrying out their duties to intercept and neutralize the threats.

The military confirmed it remains at the highest level of readiness and operational preparedness, performing its tasks with efficiency and vigilance.

Official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, stated that since the onset of the Iranian aggression targeting various parts of Kuwait, a total of 178 ballistic missiles and 384 drones have been detected and dealt with.

In a press statement, Colonel Al-Atwan said 27 Kuwaiti army personnel have sustained injuries since the start of operations. He noted that all injured personnel are in stable condition, with two currently receiving medical care.

He emphasized that the armed forces continue to operate around the clock with maximum readiness, closely monitoring all developments to safeguard national security.

Colonel Al-Atwan also called on citizens and residents to rely solely on official sources for information and refrain from sharing rumors or unverified videos on social media, stressing that national responsibility at this critical stage requires awareness and discipline.

The General Staff reaffirmed its full preparedness to confront any threat, underscoring its commitment to protecting Kuwait’s territory, airspace, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
