KUWAIT CITY, July 15: Despite repeated warnings issued by the General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior regarding the need for motorists to strictly comply with the speed limit, a security source reported that a citizen was detained at the traffic police station and his vehicle was impounded for driving at 175 kilometers per hour on Jahra Road. The source confirmed that legal measures were taken against the citizen. The ministry indicated that the legally mandated speed limit is 120 kilometers per hour.
