BRUSSELS, Nov 30: The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Belgium participated on Saturday in a charity bazaar organized by the Asia-Pacific Women’s Association (APWA) to raise funds for children and women in conflict-affected areas, including Gaza and Sudan.

The Kuwaiti pavilion showcased a wide range of traditional products, including clothing, food items, local cuisine, handicrafts, artistic works, and traditional utensils. Visitors to the bazaar expressed admiration for the displays and cultural exhibits.

In a statement to KUNA, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Belgium, Nawaf Al-Enezi, highlighted the significance of humanitarian initiatives such as the bazaar, which aim to foster solidarity and build bridges between communities. He expressed gratitude to the volunteers, participants, and visitors, and thanked Kuwait Petroleum International for supporting the embassy’s participation. Ambassador Al-Enezi noted that such events encourage humanitarian action, particularly by diplomatic missions and diplomats.

The event attracted a large turnout from the diplomatic community in Belgium and their families. Activities included prize distributions for contributors and visitors, children’s programs, and pavilions offering a variety of Asian and Arab cuisines alongside exhibitions of traditional Arab products and handicrafts, creating a family-friendly atmosphere.

The APWA, a network of women diplomats from the Asia-Pacific region in Brussels, organizes the charity bazaar annually. The event features traditional clothing, handicrafts, and food from member countries, raising funds for charitable causes, fostering international relations, and celebrating the cultural diversity of the region.
