NEW DELHI, Nov 9: The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in New Delhi took part in the 35th annual Charity Bazaar organized by the Delhi Commonwealth Women’s Association and the International Women’s Club, underscoring Kuwait’s enduring commitment to humanitarian causes and community welfare.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to India, Meshal Al-Shemali, who served as the guest of honor at this year’s event, said the embassy’s annual participation reflects Kuwait’s dedication to charitable initiatives that strengthen social solidarity and support marginalized communities.

He highlighted that the participation, held with the support of civil society organizations and associations, embodies Kuwait’s humanitarian approach aimed at addressing the needs of the less fortunate in society.

Ambassador Al-Shemali praised the Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its ongoing backing of Kuwaiti missions abroad and their contributions to humanitarian and charitable projects. He also expressed gratitude to Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways for their major donations, which included travel vouchers offered as prizes in a raffle held during the event.

The one-day bazaar, hosted at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, brought together numerous Arab and foreign embassies accredited in India alongside several Indian companies, all showcasing a wide variety of products.

Ambassador Al-Shemali reaffirmed that Kuwait’s consistent presence at the annual charity event demonstrates its unwavering support for international humanitarian cooperation and social development efforts.
