KUWAIT CITY, March 30: The Court of Appeals upheld the verdict that acquitted two citizens of entering an apartment at night without the consent of its owner, with the intent of committing a crime, breaking its door, and physically assaulting the victim using knives.

According to the case file, a verbal altercation occurred inside the victim’s apartment between him and one of the accused. This prompted the accused to leave and later return with his friend who went on to break down the door of the apartment as well as the doors of two other rooms to search for the victim until they found him. They then beat him and stabbed him sporadically throughout his body.

During the court session, the defense counsel Lawyer Ali Al-Wawan requested for a list of cellphone towers covering the phones of the accused and the victim, and specifying their locations before and after the incident. By Jaber Al-Hamoud Al-Seyassah Staff
