KUWAIT CITY, July 11: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al- Awadhi issued directives on Thursday to implement the Medical Liability Authority’s decision to close a dental center for three months, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The decision follows legal procedures initiated by the ministry after specialized inspection committees identified serious violations. In a press statement, the ministry explained that, after completing its investigation and review, the Medical Liability

Authority notified the ministry of the findings of the specialized technical committee, which confirmed professional misconduct by a Kuwaiti doctor who is the center’s license holder and medical director. As a result, a three-month closure penalty was imposed. The ministry clarified that the Minister of Health had previously issued a temporary closure order for the center and referred the case to the Medical Liability Authority in accordance with the provisions of the law governing the practice of medicine and related professions, as well as regulations concerning the rights of patients and healthcare facilities. It stated that implementing this decision reflects its commitment to enforcing the law and applying decisions issued by competent authorities. This aims to strengthen professional accountability, protect patients’ rights, and enhance the quality of healthcare services.
