KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: Iraqi authorities apprehended a Kuwaiti man upon his arrival at the Safwan Border Crossing, as he lacked a passport. The security personnel at the Abdali port took custody of the Kuwaiti man from the Iraqi authorities, who had detained him for attempting to enter Iraq without the necessary documentation. Since he did not possess a passport, he was subsequently returned to Kuwaiti territory.

Subsequent investigations revealed that the Kuwaiti is employed within the Ministry of Interior, yet he lacked the requisite travel authorization at that specific time. An inquiry has been initiated to ascertain the manner in which the individual managed to bypass the counters and security measures at the Abdali port without undergoing standard procedures. Sources have confirmed that instructions have been issued to compile a comprehensive report regarding the incident.
