Kuwaiti Couple arrested with 100 narcotic pills during security campaigns – Securitymen nab 151 people, issue 304 traffi c citations

KUWAIT CITY, May 14: Securitymen arrested 151 individuals and issued 304 traffic citations during extensive security and traffic campaigns that they launched in all six governorates recently based on instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, reports Al-Rai daily. In Capital Governorate, they arrested 8 wanted individuals.

In Hawally Governorate, they arrested 15 wanted individuals and issued 30 citations. In Ahmadi Governorate, securitymen arrested 84 wanted individuals including a Kuwaiti man and a Kuwaiti woman in possession of 100 narcotic pills of different kinds. They also issued 184 traffic citations.

In Jahra Governorate, securitymen arrested 8 wanted individuals including a Kuwaiti citizen who is wanted for a debt worth KD 54,000. In Farwaniya Governorate, securitymen arrested 10 wanted individuals including a citizen who is wanted for escaping a judicial sentence of 15-year imprisonment and another citizen who is wanted for payment of debt worth KD 20,000.

In Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate, 19 wanted individuals were arrested and 90 traffi c citations were issued. Special Taskforce officers affiliated to the Public Security Sector arrested 7 wanted individuals, majority of who are involved in drug cases. All arrested individuals were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
