Grievance referred to Legal Affairs Dept

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 25: The spokesperson of Ministry of Health Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad has affirmed that the ministry is following up a complaint filed by a Kuwaiti citizen on Twitter about a female expatriate doctor who was found sleeping while on duty in Al-Rehab clinic, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources.

They said he indicated his intention to discuss the matter with an official of the clinic. The sources explained that the incident took place at 9 am when the citizen entered the doctor’s room only to find the doctor sleeping on her desk. When the clinic administration was informed about the incident, they questioned her, and she claimed to be suffering from fever.

The complaint has been referred to the Legal Affairs Department of Farwaniya Health Zone for investigations, and to determine whether or not the doctor was suffering from fever. They revealed that, if the doctor’s excuse is proven to be false, legal action will be taken accordingly.
