JEDDAH, March 24: The 34th Arab Table Tennis Club Championship witnessed defeats for Al-Tadamon, Al-Fahaheel, and Al-Fatah Club in its inaugural competition, slated to run until March 28.
Al-Fatah Club succumbed to Al-Basra of Iraq with a close score of 3-2, while Al-Tadamon faced a defeat against Enppi of Egypt with a score of 3-0. Similarly, Al-Fahaheel lost to Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia with a score of 3-1.
Fifteen clubs are vying at the men's level, including Al-Fahaheel and Al-Tadamon from Kuwait, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly, Al-Shabab from Saudi Arabia, Enppi from Egypt, Sulaymaniyah, Al-Jaish Sports Club from Iraq, Al-Arabi, and Qatar from Qatar, Al-Makki and Al-Aqsa, Atbara from Sudan, Al-Hussein City from Jordan, and Saar and Al-Bahrain from Bahrain.
At the women's level, eight clubs are participating, including Al-Fatat from Kuwait, Basra from Iraq, Women's Sports Association from Algeria, White Self-Employment from Sudan, Zamalek, Petrojet from Egypt, and Hamada from Jordan, in addition to Aali from Bahrain.
Al-Fatah Club team comprised of Manwa Al-Shammari, Maryam Abdel-Rahim, Sheikha Al-Hamad, and Liu Fay, while Al-Tadamon's squad consists of Meshal Dashti, Jaber Al-Balhan, Marzouq Al-Rashidi, Abdul-Rahman Al-Suwailem, and Muhammad Saleh. Al-Fahaheel Club features five players: Meshal Al-Kandari, Muhammad Hamiyah, Khaled Al-Fadhli, Salem Al-Hassan, and Khaled Al-Dabbous.
