Kuwaiti citizens from Al Omariya area demand to stop infiltration of expat families and bachelors

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: The citizens of the Al-Omariya area put forward a list of the basic demands before the ministers of the fourth district, the most prominent of which is finding permanent solutions to the problems of traffic congestion at the entrances and exits of the area, and re-asphalting its dilapidated streets.

A number of the region’s citizens wished to find serious solutions to the problem of a massive influx of expat families of expatriates and bachelors in the area. Bachelors from Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh have escaped into Farwaniya area, citizens are demanding the need to accelerate in creating new labor cities to accommodate these bachelors. 

Abdullah Al-Ajmi requested that the necessary maintenance be carried out for the power line network in the area in order to avoid electrical outages as faced in the summer, reports al rai. Last year, the Al-Omariya area began to lose its status as a model area, especially after the increase in the number of expatriate families and bachelors who inhabited the area after the ban on the Farwaniya area was lifted. He wished that the parliamentarians who will represent the people of the fourth district enact legislation that preserves the specificity of typical residential areas.

Saad Al-Harmal pointed out the need to complete the specialized clinics in the Al-Omariya dispensary to relieve the pressure on Al-Farwaniyah Hospital, which is crowded with hundreds of visitors daily from various regions of the Al-Farwaniyah Governorate. The dispensary was suffering from an eternal problem and still the dispensary was closed at the weekend.

A number of problems were raised by Al-Harmal, and he called on the deputies of the Fourth District who will win the elections and represent them at the National Assembly to take them into account, most notably the concern for the cleanliness of the area, as piles of waste accumulate in many corners of the region’s streets.

Fahd Al-Fareej said, “We know that there are many services that are supposed to fall on the shoulders of the members of the municipal council, but the absence of some members of the municipal council from carrying out their role has made us, to place demands on the shoulders of the representatives of the National Assembly. In the Omariya area, especially with regard to the aesthetic appearance of the region, and work to enact legislation to limit the movement of bachelors in this area.

Al-Fareej also requested the establishment of new educational schools to accommodate the number of students in the region, especially after the large population increase that the region witnessed so as not to overcrowding students in classes, calling for the opportunity of students not going to their schools because of Corona and working to renew schools that need radical maintenance.
