KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Kuwait’s Court of Appeal has ordered a citizen to pay KD 20,000 in compensation to his ex-wife after she was allegedly assaulted, evicted from the marital home and prevented from retrieving her gold jewelry and personal belongings.
The ruling came in a lawsuit filed by lawyer Muhammad Al-Bathir, who sought compensation on behalf of the woman for the material and moral damages she suffered.
According to the case, the woman alleged that her former husband assaulted her and forced her to leave the marital home, while also preventing her from obtaining her gold jewelry and other personal belongings.
The Court of Appeal ruled in her favor and ordered the citizen to pay KD 20,000 in compensation, bringing the legal dispute to a conclusion.
