Kuwaiti Citizen Detained for Allegedly Assaulting Ministry of Defense Soldier

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 30: A citizen born in 1972 was detained at the Sulaibiya Police Station after allegedly assaulting a Ministry of Defense soldier while he was on duty.

According to the report filed by the soldier, the incident occurred on the Seventh Ring Road near the Sulaibiya warehouses, as he was driving a military vehicle toward Jahra. The soldier said an SUV suddenly stopped in front of him, after which its driver got out and allegedly assaulted him.

Security personnel took the necessary legal measures, while the soldier obtained a medical report documenting his injuries, which was added to the case file. Police later contacted the accused by phone and asked him to report to the station. After questioning, the investigator ordered his detention pending further legal proceedings.

The case has been referred to the relevant authorities to complete the investigation, establish the circumstances of the incident and determine the appropriate legal action.
