Kuwaiti child run over, dies; Expat killed

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 10: A Kuwaiti child born in 2011 died in Jaber Al- Ali after he was run over by a car driven by a Kuwaiti man, reports Al- Anba daily. During interrogation at the area police station the Kuwaiti said the child rushed in front of the car from nowhere and he could not avoid hitting him. The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. A manslaughter case has been filed at the Mina Abdullah Police Station pending further investigation.

In the meantime an extensive investigation has been opened into the death of an unidentified expatriate who died after a mound of mud collapsed on him at a construction project in Mina Abdullah burying the man alive. A security source said acting on information the firemen and security patrols rushed to the area but could not save the life of the 41-year-old man. The man was rushed to the Adan Hospital but he was pronounced dead.
