KUWAIT CITY, Dec 13: The Kuwait’s Al-Tomooh Sports Club's delegation for Intellectual Disabilities has departed for the Sultanate of Oman to take part in the sixth Oman Athletics Forum, hosted by the Omani Paralympic Committee from December 13 to 17 at the Sultan Qaboos City Track and Field in Muscat.
Heading the Kuwaiti delegation is Qasimah Al-Moussawi, a board member of Al-Tomooh Sports Club , accompanied by the club's administrative director, Hoda Al-Khalidi, coach Habab Al-Hami, and athletes Hassan Samir, Haneen Al-Mesbah, Abdullah Salmeen, and Ali Al-Shaya. The team is set to compete in various track events, including distances of 100-200, 400-1500, and long jump competitions.
Al-Moussawi expressed confidence in the team's preparedness for the competition, anticipating that the players will continue their successful journey from the fifth edition, where they secured 7 medals (two gold, three silver, and two bronze).
She emphasized that this participation serves as a valuable opportunity for the club's athletes to engage, set new records, and vie against a distinguished international field of accomplished players. Al-Moussawi conveyed gratitude to the Omani Paralympic Committee for the invitation and extended appreciation to the General Sports Authority for their ongoing support and facilitation of the club's participation.
