Kuwait’s Ibrahim Al-Thifeeri emerged victorious Sunday in the 800m race to close out the Asian Athletics Championship held in the Eastern Indian city of Bhubaneshwar.The Kuwaiti athlete’s tenacity propelled him to the winner’s circle, Salah Al-Merri, head of the Kuwaiti delegation to the event, told KUNA via telephone.On Saturday, Al-Thifeeri’s compatriots, Abdulaziz Al-Mandeel and Yaqoub Al-Yoha put forth impressive performances in the 110m hurdles competition.He went on to dedicate the victory to the Kuwaiti leadership and people.
