KUWAIT CITY, Oct 29: The President of the Kuwaiti Shooting Federation, Duaij Al-Otaibi, expressed his admiration for the outstanding performance of the Kuwaiti archery team, which secured four medals during the recently concluded Arab Championship in Saudi Arabia. He described this accomplishment as a significant milestone and a crucial step towards achieving higher excellence in future Olympic sporting events.

During a press conference following an honorary ceremony held at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Complex on Sunday evening, Al-Otaibi emphasized the Federation’s unwavering commitment to advancing the sport of archery. He mentioned the Federation’s strategic hiring of skilled coaches to build a robust foundation of both male and female shooters. Al-Otaibi expressed his optimism, anticipating further triumphs in the upcoming competitions.

Al-Otaibi extended his praise to Abdullah Malallah, who secured a gold medal in the compound competition, and Hanan Al-Mayass, who clinched a bronze medal in the women’s event. Additionally, he commended the Kuwaiti male and female shooters for their remarkable achievements in team and mixed competitions. He also acknowledged the invaluable support provided by the General Sports Authority to the Kuwaiti shooting club.

Archer Mal Allah shared similar sentiments, emphasizing the fierce competition during the tournament, with numerous Arab teams participating. He celebrated the Kuwaiti archers’ success in securing four medals as a remarkable feat for Kuwaiti archery. Mal Allah conveyed his belief that this victory would serve as a strong motivator for future accomplishments at both the continental and international levels. He dedicated this victory to the nation’s political leadership and the Kuwaiti shooting community.
