Kuwaiti and his girlfriend arrested for assaulting a major

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3: A Kuwaiti and his girlfriend have been arrested by the police for assaulting a major from the Interior Ministry, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, this happened when a police patrol saw the woman violating a traffic law and ordered her to pull over. When the woman was asked to show her driving licence, she lost her temper and insulted the officer and allegedly called her boyfriend who arrived at the scene and started insulting the officer and also assaulted the major, following which he informed the competent authorities. The suspect was arrested and along with the girl taken to the area police station and detained.
