Kuwait youth volleyball team heads to Cairo for intensive camp

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 18: This evening, the delegation of our national youth volleyball team, born in 2005, embarks on a journey to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, for a 12-day training camp. This camp is a crucial part of their preparations for the upcoming first Gulf Youth Games, set to take place in Dubai from April 16 to May 2.

Heading the selected delegation is the President of the Federation, Dr. Jaber Al-Marri. The delegation includes Nayef Al-Khamili, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Talal Al-Jassem, the national team director, and the technical staff led by national coach Jassim Al-Tarrawah, assisted by Egypt’s Osama Madkour. Dr. Moataz Ezz Al-Din serves as the national team’s doctor, and the team comprises 20 players: Fawad Al-Mishaal, Ali Dashti, Barak Al-Nasser, Abbas Hussein, Abdul Rahman Walid, Hamoud Kanaan, Badr Al-Attar, Muhammad Al-Banna, Hassan Al-Qattan, Muhammad Al-Dokhi, Hammoud Al-Masoud, Bandar Al-Ahmad, Khaled Bararaki, Abdulaziz Al-Anazi, Abdulaziz Muhammad Kamel, Ahmed Al-Sarhid, Nasser Al-Sanea, Rashid Al-Awadi, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, and Abdullah Al-Ali.

Director of the national team, Talal Al-Jassem, emphasized that the team’s technical staff has crafted a comprehensive training program for the external camp. The program aims to prepare and refine players in technical, physical, and tactical aspects. The camp also includes a trial match against strong opponents, offering valuable exposure. Al-Jassem urged the players to give their utmost effort during this period to fully benefit from the prescribed training regimen.
