Kuwait Wraps Up Midday Outdoor Work Ban Campaign

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 1: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has officially announced the end of the annual midday outdoor work ban, which was enforced from June 1 to August 31, 2025, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The measure was implemented under the awareness and inspection campaign “Their Safety Matters.”

PAM’s Acting Director General, Marzouq Dhaifallah Al-Otaibi, stated that the Authority carried out extensive media outreach and field inspections throughout the period to ensure compliance with Administrative Resolution No. 535 of 2015. The regulation prohibits outdoor labor during peak heat hours to safeguard workers’ health and safety.

Inspection teams covered all governorates, recording 63 violating worksites and apprehending 68 workers, in addition to filing 37 official reports.

Al-Otaibi emphasized that the decision is designed to protect workers from extreme weather while ensuring that project timelines are not disrupted, aligning with international labor standards.

He also expressed appreciation to employers who complied with the rules and to citizens who supported enforcement efforts by reporting violations.
