KUWAIT CITY, Aug 12: The Kuwait Winter Games Club has ramped up its technical and administrative preparations for the Kuwaiti national team's participation in the upcoming Asian Winter Games, set to take place in Harbin, China next February. This marks the team's largest participation in the tournament's history, with competitors set to take part in five sports: ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating, ice dancing, and curling.
Sheikh Jaber Bandar Al-Sabah, the honorary president of the club, emphasized the importance of early preparation for this edition of the games. He noted that this will be the most significant Kuwaiti delegation ever to compete in the Asian Winter Games, surpassing the country’s first entry in the 1999 tournament held in Gangwon, Korea.
Sheikh Jaber expressed hope that the Kuwaiti team's record participation will be notable and successful, highlighting the extensive efforts made to ensure a distinguished performance in all five events.
