ABU DHABI, Sept 10: The Arab Hospitals Federation has honored the State of Kuwait’s Medical Liability Authority for securing first place regionally in the Leadership, Governance, and Continuous Improvement category of the seventh Golden Initiative for Excellence in Healthcare. In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following the ceremony Tuesday, Ministry of Health Undersecretary Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Al-Sabah stated that the prestigious recognition reflects the advanced standard of Kuwaiti health institutions and their commitment to institutional governance and leadership.
Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah, who accepted the award on behalf of the Authority’s team, extended his appreciation to the personnel and management of the Medical Liability Authority, emphasizing that collective dedication was instrumental in earning Platinum status in this cycle. The award was presented during a ceremony held in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, in the presence of an official delegation from the Authority led by Dr. Laila Al-Anzi.
The Authority achieved the highest score among competing institutions in its pillar during the initiative, which evaluated 323 submissions from 10 Arab nations, with only 45 healthcare entities qualifying for final honors. The recognition underscores Kuwait’s ongoing advancements in developing healthcare regulation, institutional governance, and quality assurance frameworks across national medical services.(KUNA)
