DOHA. Nov 4(KUNA): Kuwait’s national archery team secured several medals at the 2nd West Asia Archery Championship, held recently in Doha, Qatar.
The mixed compound team of Abdullah Malallah and Hanan Al-Mayas earned bronze, finishing third after a strong performance against tough regional competition.
The women’s recurve team, featuring Suad Al-Bahr, Reem Al-Naqeeb, and Noor Al-Sharhan, captured silver, while individually, Abdullah Malallah took silver in the men’s compound event, and Suad Al-Bahr claimed silver in the women’s recurve individual final.
Team administrator Omar Al-Shatti praised the players’ efforts, saying he was delighted with their medal haul amid strong participation from archers across the region, and commended the team’s high level of performance throughout the championship.
