Kuwait win U-19 Youths Handball Cup

The Handball Team of Salmiya Sports Club continue to chase the Kuwait Sporting Club Team for top place in the league table, with their recent win against Al-Qurain Handball team with a score of 24/21 in the first round of the league, which was held at Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad Hall in Dai’ya area. This win has increased Salmiya Club’s points to nine, which is two points behind Kuwait Sporting Club which has eleven points and is at the top of the league table. Meanwhile, Al-Qurain’s hope of maintaining the third position is almost impossible as they have lost five games consecutively.

Furthermore, after facing defeat in the first round of the match by Kazema Team, the Burgan Handball Team managed to defeat Kazema Team with a score of 32/24 in the second round, which has revived their hope of taking third position. Currently, Burgan has four points and Kazema has six points.

Burgan’s coach Salem Anas praised the efforts exerted by the team in defeating Kazema, affirming that this win is the start of many victories to come for the team. He stressed that their performance was strong, which proves that the players of the Burgan team are up to the challenge, and that the coming matches will witness even better performance.

Meanwhile, the Under-19 Kuwait Handball Team won the Youths Handball Cup after defeating Fahaheel Handball Team with a score of 24/21 in the final match. The third place was taken by Salmiya Handball Team, which won the runners-up match against Al-Qurain with a score of 31/19. In the final match of Under-15 Handball Cup, Salmiya Team defeated Al-Qurain Team with a score of 25/22. The third place was taken by the Kuwait Handball Team.
