TASHKENT, Dec 17: Kuwait’s National Karate Team bagged three gold medals in the 2022 Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Championship currently held in Uzbekistan. Head of the Kuwaiti Karate Federation Mohammed Jassem said to KUNA, that contender Mousa Al-Mutairi won first place in the Cadet Kumite Male -63kg.

Kuwait’s winning streak also included Essa Al-Mutairi’s gold medal in the -52kg Cadet Kumite, as well as Fahad Al-Azmi in the same -57kg category. He also mentioned, these wins were attained among the junior classes which is a considerable achievement, taking into consideration that the team isn’t contending at peak level of performance, due to the recent school term exams. Adding, that he has high hopes for the competitors to further extend their winning streak thanks to the staff and management’s efforts in preparations for this continental event. (KUNA)
