Kuwait will host the Gulf Sports Games May 15th

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 8 : The Kuwait Olympic Committee stated that Kuwait will host the third Gulf Sports Games from May 15 to 31. 15 teams from 6 countries will participate in the individual sports. Opening ceremony will be on 22nd May. 

This decision comes after a meeting held remotely by the Executive Office of the Heads of the Olympic Committees in the Gulf Cooperation Council with approval of the six participating countries.
The Secretary Hussein Al-Musallam in his letter to the local sports federations and  sports clubs participating in the tournament stated that the Men’s and Women’s competition will begin on May 15th and rest games will begin after official opening of the tournament according to the schedule which will be announced later on.

The games include football, handball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, athletics, karate, judo, fencing, archery, tennis, cycling, ice hockey, table tennis, in addition to electronic games. The games were earlier postponed due to outbreak of Omicron mutant which was supposed to be held in January. (KUNA)
