KUWAIT CITY, March 26: The State of Kuwait welcomed the adoption of a resolution by the United Nations Human Rights Council addressing the human rights implications of recent Iranian attacks targeting Gulf states and Jordan.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Kuwait said the resolution—adopted by consensus during an emergency session of the Council’s 61st meeting—reflects a unified international stance rejecting what it described as “unjustified Iranian aggression.”
The resolution was introduced through a joint diplomatic initiative by the Gulf Cooperation Council and Jordan.
Kuwait emphasized that the move represents a clear international condemnation of attacks on the territories of sovereign states that are not parties to the conflict. It added that such actions constitute serious violations of fundamental human rights and pose a direct threat to regional and global peace and security.
The statement further underlined Kuwait’s support for collective international efforts to uphold stability and safeguard the sovereignty of nations in the region.
