KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: The South Korean junior handball team delegation is set to arrive in Kuwait today to play two friendly matches against Kuwait at the Federation Hall in the Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad Center in Al-Daiya. These matches are part of both teams' preparations for the 10th Asian Handball Championship, which also serves as the "2025 World Cup Qualifiers." The championship will occur in Amman, Jordan, from September 3-14. The Korean and the Kuwait teams will face off in friendly matches next Wednesday and Friday.

The technical staff of Kuwait's junior handball team, led by coach Marko Martinovic and his assistant Hussein Habib, is focused on finalizing the starting lineup for the Asian Championship. They aim to secure one of the four qualifying spots for the World Cup. The draw for the 10th Asian Junior Handball Championship placed Kuwait in Group Four, alongside teams from China, Iran, and Chinese Taipei. In the preliminary round, Kuwait will kick off the championship by facing Chinese Taipei on September 3. The Blues have been preparing for the Asian Championship through an external training camp held in Slovenia recently.
