KUWAIT CITY, Dec 31: The new Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait, Yang Xin, has arrived in the country to begin his diplomatic mission. He was welcomed by officials from Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and senior diplomats from the Chinese Embassy. Ambassador Xin expressed his honor and sense of responsibility in assuming the post, noting that his arrival coincides with the upcoming 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Kuwait. He highlighted the historical importance of the bilateral relationship, emphasizing that Kuwait was the first Arabian Gulf state to establish diplomatic ties with China, and that these relations have remained a priority in China’s engagement with the region. Ambassador Xin also recalled recent meetings between Chinese President Xi Jinping and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, which laid a new framework for advancing the strategic partnership between the two countries. As the fifteenth Chinese ambassador to Kuwait, Yang Xin affirmed his commitment to implementing agreements made by the leaders of both countries and pledged to work diligently to strengthen and deepen the Chinese- Kuwaiti strategic partnership for the benefit of both nations.
