Kuwait Welcomes Lebanon Ceasefire, Reaffirms Support for Sovereignty and Stability

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 17: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait has welcomed the announcement of a ceasefire in Lebanon, describing it as a positive step toward restoring stability in the region.

In an official statement, Kuwait expressed appreciation for the efforts leading to the truce, including those by Donald Trump, as well as Lebanese leaders Joseph Aoun, Nabih Berri, and Nawaf Salam.

Kuwait reaffirmed its firm support for Lebanon, emphasizing its backing for all measures aimed at strengthening state authority, limiting the possession of arms to official institutions, and preserving the country’s security and stability.

The statement also underscored Kuwait’s continued commitment to supporting Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, amid broader international efforts to ensure lasting peace following the ceasefire.
